Preparation
The tuning module is inserted between the speed sensor of your eBike and the Bosch motor. It is therefore invisible from the outside and disappears into the motor. However, the motor must be opened in any case. But that sounds worse than it actually is. A cover is removed and all the necessary plugs are accessible.
To be on the safe side, remove the battery before installing it.
On some bike models, the left pedal crank must be removed in order to remove the motor cover. On some models, it is sufficient to remove just a few screws.
If the left pedal crank prevents the motor cover from being opened, it must first be removed using a crank puller. This is also available in the store.
Removing the motor cover
You will find different motor variants below. If necessary, remove the crank (green arrow) and then the screws (red arrows). You can then remove the motor cover.
Plugging in the tuning module
The arrangement of the plugs leading into the engine varies depending on the year of manufacture.
The connector of the speed sensor is marked with a red arrow marked with a red arrow. Carefully pull this off and insert the Wiesel tuning module Wiesel tuning module in between.
The gray socket plug of the Wiesel tuning module is inserted into the motor of the eBike and the black plug is connected to the previously removed gray speed sensor plug. connector of the speed sensor. With the latter polarity does not matter.
First test
As soon as the tuning module is installed, switch on your eBike. A speed of approx. 20 km/h is displayed on the speedometer for a few seconds. This means that the tuning is active.
You can set this displayed speed more precisely with the calibration.
