The Smart System has been available since 2022. If the year of manufacture is older, the eBike is certainly not a Smart System.

If it is not clear from the sales documents whether the eBike is a Smart System, you can easily recognize this on the display. Please read this article:

In this case, the tuning will unfortunately not work. There is no conventional speed sensor into whose line the tuning module could be plugged.

Notes on the display

The tuning module works with any display and even without one. Without a display, it is not immediately apparent whether tuning is active after switching on due to the missing display.

The Yamaha Display-A (Side Switch) does not have a decimal place. The speed can therefore not be displayed accurately.

At the moment, only Bosch and Yamaha / Giant mid-motors are supported.
