Tuning can be activated and deactivated
You can use a clever on/off sequence for your eBike to optimize the tuning
- activate, deactivate or
- only once for the current ride. After switching off the eBike, the tuning is then off.
The activated tuning is signaled via the speedometer when the eBike is switched on. This means you always know which mode is active.
Geschwindigkeit bleibt nachvollziehbar
Nach dem Einbau wird sich die Geschwindigkeitsanzeige je nach Betriebszustand anders verhalten als im Serienzustand. Die entsprechenden Hinweise zur Anzeige und Bedienung finden Sie in der beiliegenden Anleitung.
Einstellbares Unterstützungsverhalten
Nach dem Einbau kann ein individueller Geschwindigkeitsbereich eingestellt werden. Beim Erreichen des eingestellten Grenzwerts wird die Unterstützung sanft heruntergeregelt, statt abrupt zu enden. Die Einstellung und Bedienung sind in der beiliegenden Anleitung beschrieben.
Supported Bosch motors
Dieses Modul ist ausschließlich kompatibel mit Bosch Smart System (BES3) Motoren der Gen5-Serie (BDU38xx) mit einem Felgenmagneten (RIM Magnet) und ohne ABS.

✅ Check 1: Is the Bosch Smart System available?
This module is only compatible with the Bosch Smart System.
As a rule, the sales documentation or the manufacturer's website for your bicycle will indicate whether it is a Bosch Smart System.
If this is not clearly evident, the best way to identify the system is by looking at the built-in display or control unit.
Typical control units for the Bosch Smart System are:
- LED Remote
- System Controller
- Purion 200 / 400
- Kiox 300 / 400C / 500
- Intuvia 100
- SmartphoneGrip (Flow app)
If one of these units is installed, it is usually a Bosch Smart System.

Another indication of a Bosch Smart System is a battery with a capacity of 750 Wh or 800 Wh.
These capacities are used exclusively in the Bosch Smart System.
If your bike is not part of the Bosch Smart System, this module is not suitable.

✅ Check 2: Motor designation BDU38xx?
Even if the bike is a "Smart System," it is not automatically compatible.
The decisive factor is the motor designation BDU38xx. The first bikes with BDU38xx motors (Generation 5) typically went on sale in late summer/fall 2024 as 2025 models.

If the designation begins with BDU38 → compatible.
⛔ Not compatible with:
- BDU37xx (Gen4)
- SX Series (BDU31xx)
- ABS models
✅ Check 3: Is the wheel magnet present?
🧲 This module works with bicycles that use a hub magnet to measure speed.
Standard case – visible rim magnet
✔ The magnet sits as a sleeve directly above the rear tire valve
✔ Clearly visible from the outside
✔ Easy to remove
⚠️ Special case – integrated / hidden rim magnet
On some models (e.g., certain KTM e-bikes), the rim magnet is integrated into the rim and is not visible from the outside.
In this case, the following applies:
✔ The module can generally be used
⚠️ However, the built-in magnet must be removed first
👉 The magnet is built into the rim and can only be accessed if:
- the tire is removed
- the hose is removed
Only then can the magnet be removed.
✅ Final Check 4: Is there no external speed sensor connected?
On bicycles with a rim magnet, the speed sensor is built into the motor.
👉 Check the sensor connector on the motor:
- The green/gray-marked jack is not in use but is covered with a blank plug
- There is no cable running from the motor to the chainstay or the rear wheel
✔ In this case, a rim magnet system is used → compatible
⛔ Not compatible
- The green/gray jack is in use
- A cable runs from the motor to the chainstay
- An external speed sensor is mounted on the rear wheel
👉 In this case, the system does not include a rim magnet.

Der Elektromagnet wird außen am Motor positioniert und kann bei vielen kompatiblen E-Bikes einfach auf den Motor geschoben werden. In der Regel muss der Motor dafür nicht aus dem Rahmen geschraubt oder abgesenkt werden.
